Acrylic will craze (cause hairline fractures) when it comes into contact with accelerant or ammonia based cleaners such as alcohol, acetone, or hand sanitizer. We highly recommend cleaning acrylic with a plastic cleaner like Novus to remove static and debris.
If the scratch is on the surface level, applying Novus 2 polish in circular motions with a soft paper towel can make it less visible or remove it to some extent . Upon trying Novus 2 and the scratch does not come out, we recommend bringing the acrylic piece back to our facility in order to get it buffed and polished professionally.
